Finally - success in the veggie/flower patch.

It's hard to grow veggies in the Kimberley. Everything is out to kill it! Bugs, hot sun, caterpillars, aphids, thrip, viruses, wallabies, bowerbirds. This year we did have some success with the completion of our wallaby proof garden.

Some veggies were a winner like the broccoli & cucumbers but no-one wanted to eat the zucchini or egg plant.

Flowers of all kinds grew really well. Sunflowers, stock, marigolds, petunias, cocks comb, snap dragons etc.

There was still some learning to do like spacing the carrots and making sure there was no compaction further down. Also making sure the corn layout was close enough to pollinate the kernals. Can't wait for 2018!
